Effective May 20, 2015, under the Ontario Employment Standards Act, all employers will be required to provide individual copies of the most recent version of the poster to each new employee in order to ensure that the employee understands his or her rights and entitlements from the outset of the employment relationship. The poster must be provided within 30 days of the day the individual becomes an employee of the employer. If the employee is already employed on May 20, 2015, the employer must provide the employee with a copy of the poster within 30 days of that date.
